Stage

The Stage is the scenario map used in interaction. Unlike maps for combat and exploration, the Stage can represent either physical locations or abstract conversation topics or threads.

The Stage is divided into positions that entities occupy. It is usually quite small, with only two to four total positions in most scenarios. Commonly, positions have special properties that provide an additional layer of tactical intrigue.

Some Actions and other effects may specify a Range; this is the number of connections between positions that may be crossed in order to affect an entity or entities. Unlike in combat, ranged Actions may be played against targets in the occupied position and may be played regardless of whether or not there are any enemies in the occupied position.

For more information, see Player's Guide Chapter 6: Interaction.
